Children's Circus Arts Camp

We are uniting artists to help children in poverty through a circus arts camp for children in Guatemala City hosted by Safe Passage.
Since 2003 the Aerial Army of Love, a group of professional and student circus performers and musicians has staged benefits for grassroots charities. These all-volunteer shows have raised thousands of dollars, supporting the recipient organizations in their work to provide safe living conditions, medical care and education to impoverished families around the world.
This year we are excited to bring a group of talented artists directly to the individuals we have helped. We are providing a week-long circus-arts intensive for children near Guatemala City whose families survive by scavenging from the nearby landfill. The camp, culminating in a performance by the students, will be a welcome creative diversion to an otherwise very challenging life of poverty. As teachers, we have seen time and again the inspiration, confidence and joy that participation in circus arts bring to children and adults.
Aerial Army of Love needs your help! We need your personal and business contributions to help offset the costs of bringing a group of 10-15 professional performing artists to children in poverty in Guatemala. It will cost $1,500 to bring each teacher to Guatemala for one week. This covers travel, room-and-board, transportation and purchase of equipment and supplies. We will be raising funds with a performance as well as a day long "marathon" of circus-arts workshops, but...
